A: No. If you do not already have Xactimate X1 installed, we will provide instructions for downloading a free 30-day Training Version of Xactimate X1. After registering for class, you will receive an email from your instructor with everything you need to download and install the software before class.

A: No. ReconX Academy prepares you to successfully pass the Xactimate Certification Exam, but certification can only be earned by passing the official Xactimate certification exam administered by Verisk. During class, we'll explain the certification process and show you exactly how to register for the exam.

A: Yes. Your instructor is an Xactimate Certified Trainer (XCT), Xactimate Level 1, 2, and 3 Certified, and serves as Director of Estimating for SP Global DRT. With over 30 years of industry experience and deployment to 31 major U.S. hurricanes, you'll be learning from someone who uses Xactimate every day in real-world catastrophe and reconstruction projects—not just in a classroom.

A: Students should have a desktop or laptop capable of running the current version of Xactimate X1. While some portions of Xactimate are available online, this course is taught using the desktop version of Xactimate for the best learning experience.

A: Yes. Our classes are taught live by an instructor either in person or virtually, depending on the course you select. Students are encouraged to ask questions throughout the training and receive real-time instruction.

A: Unless otherwise stated, live classes are not recorded. This encourages student participation and allows us to tailor instruction to the class. Any available recordings or supplemental materials will be noted in the course description.

A: Yes. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a ReconX Academy Certificate of Completion. Please note that this is separate from official Xactimate Certification earned through Verisk.

A: We believe learning doesn't stop when class ends. Students are welcome to contact us with reasonable follow-up questions related to the course material. Our goal is to help you become confident using Xactimate in the real world.
